Meet the New-commas

Morgan Austrich (She/her)

Voice Part: Tenor 1

Morgan is a Master’s student studying History of Art. She joined the Commas this term and is excited to sing with them in the year to come! She did her undergraduate degree at NYU, where her a cappella journey began as an NYU Clefto. Her favourite musical artists include Hozier, Laufey, SZA and Harry Styles.

Nadia Sun (she/her)

Voice Part: Tenor 1
Course: French and Linguistics

As the only undergrad fresher recruited this year, Nadia has already wowed the group with her gorgeous voice and smiley attitude. Her vocal strengths include covering lots of different genres and being able to put her own spin on songs, refreshing old classics, which we think makes her perfect for a cappella! She is excited to branch into this new genre and hone new vocal and performance skills. We are so excited to have her join our ranks!

Gabriel Ruault (he/him)

Voice Part: Baritone
Course: Masters in Neuroscience

After months of quiet research for his masters’ thesis, Gabriel could not resist the urge to get back on stage and groove with Oxford’s hottest a cappella group! Following a stint at @la.commus in France, he’s excited to learn a cappella from the best (yeah Baris!). He can be found recovering from the sophisticated arrangements cooked up by his fellow Commas by singing to delightfully repetitive blues beats. Gabriel’s strengths include constantly smiling, even when lost in new arrangements!
